What is a port station search?
Searching vessels that are loaded with marine products caught in overseas and entering domestic ports to determine whether it was illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing
Search target
- Vessels loaded with fish species managed by the International Fisheries Organization (IFO)
- Vessels registered as illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing vessels by the IFO or foreign governments
- Vessels suspected of illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing notified by the IFO or a foreign government and requested for a search
- Vessels of countries designated as illegal, unreported, or unregulated fishing countries by foreign governments
- Vessels loaded with restricted fish species listed in the Cooperation Agreement with foreign governments to prevent illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing

How to write
- The catch certificate must be written in English except for the signature
- Appropriate font size must be used for readability, and each item must be written in details
- If any false information is discovered in the application for an approved/issued catch certificate, the certificate will be canceled, and the applicant will be suspended from another issuance for one year from the date of cancellation

Catch certification system and its target fish species
- The catch certification system is a system in which the competent government agency of the country where the fishing vessel is registered reviews the fishing information on the catch of the vessel, determines whether the catch is legal, and issues a catch certificate (effective from June , 2017)
- Target fish species: Bobo Croaker, Longneck Croaker, and Saury
- Type : Product whose original form can be recognized as HSK0302 (refrigerated product), 0303 (frozen product)

Issuance of fishing certificate
- Oversea products : MOF East Sea Fishery Management Group Fishing Surveillance Center
- Imported products : Responsible agency of fishing country (refer to sea information)
Submission of catch certificate
- Applicant : The captain or shipping agent of a vessel that loads the target fish species and wishes to enter a domestic port
- When : 24 hours before the port entry
- Location : 14 NFQS centers
